JBC Acquires Die Cut Technologies
Chattanooga, TN, December 7, 2021
River Associates Investments (“River Associates”), a longstanding lower middle market private equity firm based in Chattanooga, TN, announced the acquisition of Denver Gasket, Inc. D/B/A Die Cut Technologies, Inc. (“DCT”) by its North Ridgeville, OH based portfolio company JBC Technologies, Inc. (“JBC”).
The acquisition closed on December 7, 2021. River Associates and JBC worked diligently to complete the transaction in about two months. Die Cut Technologies is the first add-on acquisition for JBC. Terms of the transaction are not being disclosed.
Based in Northglenn, CO, DCT is a full-service manufacturer with 60 years of experience in rapid prototyping and custom die cutting. While serving the medical, electronics, automotive, and aerospace sectors, their fast turnaround times and commitment to quality make DCT an industry leader in high-speed die-cutting.
Bringing Die Cut Technologies under the JBC Technologies umbrella augments JBC’s vertically integrated converting capabilities. DCT adds laser cutting, Class 100,000 cleanroom production, large format die cutting, several digital die-less cutting technologies, extensive rapid prototyping capabilities, and 30,000 additional square feet of manufacturing space. JBC benefits DCT’s operations by bringing its extensive laminating, slitting, and rotary converting capabilities to its customer base.
“We are excited to welcome Die Cut Technologies into the JBC family,” said Brad Patt, President of JBC. “Former owner Scott Flores has built a strong team with a commitment to quality and responsiveness that meshes well with our continuous improvement culture at JBC. The unification of our teams, facilities, and technologies will fuel our growth objectives and enable us to better serve our collective client base.”
“I’m confident that this new partnership will enhance not only the quality and services that our customers have relied on over the last 60 years, but will add new capabilities, technologies, and engineering to provide our customers with a vertically integrated company able to meet all of their converting needs,” commented Scott Flores, CEO Die Cut Technologies.
River Associates and the management team at JBC continue to seek complementary strategic acquisition partners for the company. For more information reach out to Mark Jones.
