River Welcomes New Associate

Chattanooga, TN, September 11, 2023

River Associates is pleased to announce that it is growing its team with the addition of a new associate, Tate Fowler. Tate joins River from Founders Advisors.

“We are excited to have Tate join us as we continue to invest our 8th fund,” said Blake Lewis, Principal at River Associates. “Tate will be working alongside our investment team to help evaluate new opportunities, complete due diligence, and support portfolio company growth initiatives. His prior investment banking experience of executing lower middle market transactions is highly complementary with our focus, and we believe he will make an immediate positive impact within our firm.”

Prior to joining River, Tate worked from 2021 to 2023 as an Investment Banking Analyst and Senior Analyst at Founders Advisors in Birmingham, AL. At Founders, he was involved and gained extensive transaction experience facilitating all aspects of sell-side M&A advisory, including industry research, valuation & financial analysis, preparation of marketing materials, and overseeing due-diligence workstreams. Founders is a transaction advisory firm serving private companies across Business Services, Consumer, Healthcare, Industrials, and Technology. Before Founders, Tate held several internships while attending college.

Tate has a Bachelor of Accountancy from the University of Mississippi.
